Excellent facility in the manner that they deal with each and every animal's' care and adoptions. The Humane Society is well maintained and the areas for the animal's are clean and the animal's are well cared for physically. Staff and volunteers spend time daily to socialize with them to give that added TLC that they all need. Instead of just giving an animal to anyone, they check the suitability of the animal's personality with the prospective family dynamics. They employ professionals that evaluate extensively each animal's personality and any problematic behaviors are addressed with behavior modification and a great deal of caring from staff. The philosophy appears to be the right home, not just any home.

Great staff, very clean facility. Adopted Piper today and had an awesome experience start to finish. Watched the staff treat the animals like family.
If you don't want to adopt an animal, fostering is another choice. We fostered 3 baby rabbits that had been rescued from deplorable conditions. Our family decided to keep them after a month and we haven't regretted the decision. I would recommend the Chautauqua County Humane Society to anyone who's looking for their "furever" pet.
The Humane Society also helps with the spading and neutering of animals owned within our community, all with the hope of lowering the animal population of unloved, cats and dogs.
I went with a friend when she adopted so knew where I was going to go when my 20 yr old cat passed. This humane society is truly one of the best anywhere. Healthy animals, great, friendly staff, and clean everything! I was really impressed with everyone and everything here!
