We were at Hidden Valley Campground 8/23 to 8/27/17. Our day use site backed up to the pool. We were there with two other camping couples and HDC allowed us to park our trailers in a "U" which was really nice of them. The weekend we were there was "Halloween" weekend. We took part in the haunted hayride on Saturday night and that was a lot of fun. They offer a black tank cleanout service which we all purchased and that was great! Very easy to get to. We would definitely go back!
It was just an overnight, but there was something about Hidden Valley that we really liked. Even though it is mostly a seasonal camping area we were made to fell very welcome. Very friendly campers there. We would certainly stay there again as well as recommend it to friends. We had an easy pull through which we liked as we were moving on in the morning. I should add that we couldn't dump our black water at our site, but being we had dumped that morning and we only traveling a short distance it didn't matter.
Our family has camped here for many, many, years - we lost track! 3 years ago we got our own camper and started camping seasonally here with our 2 boys. The campgrounds are well maintained and the owners are very family oriented and friendly. There is a fun bunch of campers here but once it hits quiet time we have never had any problems. Everyone gets a long great and really enjoys everything the campgrounds has to offer. There are activities every weekend and they have a lot to do. Last year, we even had extended family come and rent trailers and cabins for my sons birthday weekend. They loved their stay and see why we like coming here every weekend.
It's a bit of a drive from Jamestown but it's on the eastern side in case you are driving east as we were. This is a truly enchanting little campground, more like a little village of permanent residents mixed with campers, long term and overnight. Plenty of play area, including pool and basketball court. Large, easy to reach RV spaces with the entire camp surrounded by trees. You'll feel very isolated from traffic, crowds, etc. and will get the true experience of camping. Quiet at night and friendly by day....we toured NE and this was one of our favorites.
We haven't camped in years, now I know why I loved it. The campsite were clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Loved everything about it. Lots of thing to do with kids and my dog.
Hidden is correct, but the GPS will take you right there.
